I am a mineralogist/geochemist with MS and BS degrees in Geology from San Diego State University and UC Davis respectively. I have worked at Asbestos TEM Laboratories in Berkeley since April 2012, where I am a TEM Technical Manager. I have lab experience in environmental sciences, geochemistry, oceanography, and enology, since 2008. I am interested in being involved with anything that helps make science open source, educational, and environmentally or politically relevant. I got involved with the Real Vegan Cheese project in June 2016, and have started to learn about biohacking as it applies to the project. I have attended many meetings, lab work nights, social events, and courses at Counter Culture Labs, and started my membership after one month of attendance.
