Experiments

   Update

   tried SDS-pAGE gel, but wrong buffer. Ordered new buffer

   extracted DNA, can sequence to check presence of genes

   used Innokenti's gel box; have 6-7 precast gels left

   check whether we have at least one complete gel rig, then buy gels for that one.

   Next steps?

   Need to make list of reagents we're running out of, before doing any more expts. Johan will make list

   Need to keep using Quartzy, so we know what we have, and more than 1 person knows how to order

   Marc wants to start working with the fermentor

New equipment!

   Patrik brought a BioFlo II batch/continuous fermentor, several more bioreactor control modules, and a giant 30L glass reactor vessel from the Bio-Link Depot open house

   Document All The Things!

   - collect all model numbers & look them up

   - document power requiremnts (see sticker near power cord)

   We have a manual for the BioFlo (needs to be scanned in). Douglas Bruce has experience / SOPs for both reactor systems - he may want to help us out in exchange for access to the fermentor.
